Privacy Policy
Plain English. No legal maze. Here's exactly what IttechBasics collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
IttechBasics ("we", "us", "our") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit ittechbasicsiptv.tv or use our IPTV service, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. We've written it to be readable — not just legally defensible.
1. Who We Are
IttechBasics is a subscription-based IPTV streaming service. Got a privacy question? We're happy to talk. Just head to our contact page or reach us on WhatsApp — we actually respond.
2. What Data We Collect
Data you give us directly
- Email address — we need this to set up your account and send you login credentials. That's it.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment partners (Stripe, PayPal, or crypto processors). We never see or store your full card number.
- Name — optional. Only used when you reach out to support and want a personal reply.
- Support messages — anything you send us through the contact form, email, or WhatsApp.
Data collected automatically
- IP address — used briefly for fraud detection and showing you the right local pricing. We don't log it persistently.
- Browser and device type — collected via cookies to help the site run well on your setup.
- Pages you visit and time on site — tracked through analytics cookies. Full details in our Cookies Policy.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To set up and manage your IttechBasics subscription.
- To send your login credentials and important service updates.
- To process payments securely through our payment partners.
- To reply to your support messages.
- To spot and block fraudulent activity.
- To understand how people use the site so we can make it better.
- To meet our legal obligations where required.
We don't sell your data. We don't use it for automated decision-making that affects your rights. If that ever changes, you'll hear about it before it happens.
4. Legal Basis for Processing — GDPR
For users in the EU, here's why we're allowed to process your data:
- Contract performance — we need your email to deliver the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — fraud prevention and keeping the site working properly.
- Consent — for analytics and marketing cookies. You can withdraw this any time.
- Legal obligation — when the law requires us to process or retain certain data.
5. Your Rights — EU / EEA Residents (GDPR)
If you're based in the European Economic Area, you've got real rights over your data. Here's what they are:
- Access — ask us what data we hold on you and we'll tell you.
- Rectification — spot something wrong? We'll fix it.
- Erasure — want us to delete your data? Ask, and we will (unless a legal obligation says otherwise).
- Restrict processing — you can ask us to pause how we use your data while a dispute is resolved.
- Data portability — we can export your data in a machine-readable format so you can take it elsewhere.
- Object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — for cookie-based processing, pull back consent any time through your browser settings.
To act on any of these, use our contact page. We'll get back to you within 30 days — usually much faster.
6. Your Rights — California Residents (CCPA)
If you're in California, the CCPA gives you the following rights:
- Know exactly what personal information we collect and why.
- Request deletion of your personal information from our systems.
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information. (We don't sell it — this right's already in effect for you.)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Submit a CCPA request through our contact page.
7. Your Rights — Brazil Residents (LGPD)
If you're in Brazil, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) gives you rights including access to your data, the ability to correct it, request deletion, export it, and be clearly told how it's being used. Use our contact page to exercise any LGPD right — we'll respond within 15 business days.
8. Who We Share Your Data With
We don't share your data with anyone except when it's genuinely necessary:
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) — they handle your transactions securely under their own privacy policies.
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics) — only in anonymised form, and only if you've consented to analytics cookies.
- Law enforcement — only when we're legally required to, and only to the extent required.
That's the full list. No ad networks. No data brokers. No surprises.
9. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your email address for as long as your subscription is active, plus 90 days after it ends — in case you want to reactivate or have a billing question. If you'd like it deleted sooner, just ask. Payment records stay on file for as long as tax law requires (usually 7 years), but that data lives with our payment processors, not us.
10. Cookies
We use cookies to keep the site fast and to understand how people use it. You can read the full breakdown — what cookies we set, what they do, and how to turn them off — in our Cookies Policy.
11. How We Protect Your Data
Every connection to IttechBasics uses HTTPS. Your data isn't accessible to just anyone internally — only team members who genuinely need it can see it. We review our security practices regularly and update them when better options are available. It's not perfect (nothing is), but we take it seriously.
12. Updates to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If it's a material change — something that actually affects how we use your data — we'll email you before it takes effect. No silent rollouts.
13. Questions?
Privacy questions, requests, or just want to know more about how we handle your data? Head to our contact page. We aim to respond within 48 hours, and we're pretty good about it.
